Our coffee is local, from Pumphrey’s Coffee and we offer a selection of sweet treats and baked goods supplied by our friends at Big River Bakery.

How to find us
Northern Stage is located at the north end of Newcastle City Centre, two minutes from the main shopping street, Northumberland Street, behind the new Newcastle University building (King’s Gate).
Parking
We are situated on the Newcastle University campus.
Blue Badge holders can use any accessible bay – where available.
6am-5pm, campus parking is University permit holders only. Evenings and weekends are public access in most of Newcastle University’s major car parks (charges may apply).

Access
Northern Stage is a fully accessible building, and we offer a full range of accessible performances, and ways to engage with our offering. Head to our Access Page to find out about upcoming access performances and view videos to familiarise yourself with our building.
Group Bookings
It’s never been easier to bring a group to Northern Stage. For groups of 10+, you can save up to 10% per ticket purchased.
If you’d like to make a group reservation, please call our friendly Box Office team on 0191 230 5151.
Reservations will be held up until 6 weeks prior to a performance.

We want as many people as possible to come and be inspired and entertained by the beautiful shows on our stages, so we’re making it easier for community groups to come and do just that.

We think a visit to Northern Stage should always feel special. Theatre offers a moment of togetherness – a short break from everyday life, in which you get to enjoy the very best theatrical experiences with people you know and others you don’t.
In order for this to work, though, we have to work together. The guidance below has been designed to ensure that every audience member and performer feels respected and comfortable in our auditorium. If everyone knows what to expect then we’ll be able to create a safe, welcoming space for all.
And we’re always listening. If you have any comments, good or bad, about your visit to Northern Stage, then let us know. We’re always looking for ways we can do things better. The welcome belongs to all of us.

Toilets
This was always the case, but we really do want you to know it’s ok to nip to the toilet during a show. If you go when you need to go it will help us reduce queues at the interval!
Guidance
To keep you and our staff safe, we will continue to adhere to the latest government guidance. As your performance date approaches we will be in touch regularly with details on what to expect from your visit – including things like how to move around the building safely.
