Venue Hire

Our Café Bar foyer seats 140 people (or 200 standing) and has a bar which can be booked for exclusive use. It’s a wonderful space for events such as engagement parties, birthday celebrations and more.

For more intimate gatherings, our mezzanine overlooks the foyer and is a bright, modern space for up to 50 seated guests (or around 70 standing).

We have a range of catered options, from canapes and sharing boards, to pizzas or a classic buffet spread.

Northern Stage is an ideal venue for your business event, whether it’s a conference, award ceremony, product launch, team meeting, away day or dinner. Northern Stage is also a great venue for corporate entertaining and work social events.

Our stylish range of spaces, skilled in-house technical team and on-site caterers mean we have an established reputation for supporting successful corporate events.

We provide a personal service and also have a wide range of extras available for hire to make sure your event has the maximum impact.

Are you booking a meeting and want a change from the same four walls? Our Café Bar is open Tuesday to Friday and provides a perfect atmosphere for catch ups over coffee – with free WiFi!

Northern Stage offers a range of stylish and contemporary celebration spaces, in-house technical expertise and catering to help you celebrate your big day.

Our location in the north of Newcastle’s city centre, on the edge of Newcastle University’s historic campus, means Northern Stage is ideally situated in an area of the city which is both beautiful and accessible. We’re a stone’s throw from Newcastle Civic Centre registry office, as well as other ceremonial and religious venues.

We have three stages available to hire which seat 70, 160 and 450 respectively. With tech support available to hire, these spaces are perfect for theatrical productions, corporate events and more.

REHEARSAL SPACES

Our stages, playspace and rehearsal space in Byker are all available to hire to perfect your next production. The academies, societies, schools, colleges and universities who regularly hire Northern Stage all say that there’s nothing like preparing and performing in a professional environment to ensure that their production achieves its full potential.

WORKSHOPS

As the largest producing theatre company in the north east of England, Northern Stage makes sets, props and costumes for our own productions as well as to theatre clients’ design and specification, on a range of scales, across the UK.

Our workshops and experienced staff are available to hire to create props, furniture, set pieces and more to bring your vision to life.
